Student Government Association (SGA) Election Information

WHEN ARE THE ELECTIONS?

  • The election for SGA Officers, Class Officers and Student Government Association representatives will be conducted on Friday September 25th

WHAT CAN I RUN FOR?

  • SGA President
  • Vice President (with 2 yrs. SGA experience),
  • SGA Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Parliamentarian (with 1 yr. SGA experience)
  • Class officers and SGA representative (no experience required)

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Must have a cumulative 2.5 GPA, weighted
  • Must not have received an “F” in the previous semester
  • Must have the appropriate number of classmates’ signatures on Petition Form
  • Must have excellent conduct (no OSS or expulsion)
  • Must have and maintain the characteristics of good ethical values and loyalty to the school
  • Must be willing to work hard while representing peers

WHAT’S STOPPING YOU?

  • Nothing, if you meet the requirements and sincerely want to serve. Get involved! Become Part of a great LEADERSHIP TEAM. Run for a place on Student Government Association!

HOW DO I GET MY NAME ON THE BALLOT?

  • Pick up a Candidate’s packet
  • Complete and return all paperwork by the deadline (September 17th at 2:15 PM) to Mr. Wood on the Main Campus or SGA Sponsor at the FLC

DATES TO REMEMBER!!!!!!!!

  • September 11th Candidate’s Intent-to-Run forms will be available in front office and in Guidance.
  • September 17th Candidate’s Intent-to-Run forms are due in to Mr. Wood or FLC SPONSOR
  • September 18th Candidates’ meeting in cafeteria at Main Campus at 2:15 PM
  • September 21st – September 24th Campaigning
  • September 28th All campaign materials must be removed by the end of the day or you will be INELIGIBLE
  • September 25th Elections
